Q. Tortoise git is installed but not showing git option on right click.
What is Git?
According to Wikipedia “Git is a distributed version-control system for tracking changes in source code during software development. It is designed for coordinating work among programmers, but it can be used to track changes in any set of files. Its goals include speed, data integrity, and support for distributed, non-linear workflows”

For this, you need to install another software i.e. Git for Windows.
Sometime tortoise git context menu settings hide by mistakenly and user not able to see the git option( context menu) on the right click on windows. I also faced this issue in the organization.
Re-installed tortoise git so many times.
Re-start the machine several times.
Installed different-different versions of the tortoise git. But get no luck
TortoiseGit is installed but with right click, no git option is visible. As shown in the below snapshot.
Step 1: Temporary Solution
I found, when I press shift key + right click combination and it shows TortoiseGit options. Every time I have to press keys combination ( shift + right click).
Step 2: Permanent Solution
Permanent solution for this is, go to TortoiseGit – Settings. Also shown below.
General – Context Menu 2 – Restore to default. After this, you can see the TortoiseGit option on right click.
Problem fixed. Now right click and you can see the TortoiseGit option there.
