500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot()

FTP server is installed, configured chroot to jail and getting error 500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot().

Solution :

1.Open FTP server configuration file, on CentOS 7 path is:

[arun@localhost ~]$ vi  /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

2. Find the below-mentioned line and uncomment it. If not found then add it.

allow_writeable_chroot=YES 

3. Restart the vsftpd service

[arun@localhost ~]$ systemctl restart vsftpd

Now, you have successfully fix the error 500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot().
